Python Full Stack Developer
Location: Dallas TX

Role and Responsibilities:

Backend and data (~70%)
Convert legacy on-prem endpoints, written in a proprietary in-house language, into Python services, using the firm's internal Python libraries and pricing capabilities.
Migrate data from on-prem Sybase IQ and MongoDB to AWS DocumentDB and Snowflake, including schema mapping ,data movement and ETL pipeline setup.
Make architecture and technology decisions which include evaluating storage options on security, compliance, and fit for financial data.
Design and run the validation strategy for each migration:
Table-level reconciliation of data across the source and target databases.
Endpoint-level reconciliation comparing old and new endpoint output.
Deploy and operate applications on the firm's internal self-service AWS deployment platform.
Troubleshoot production issues across application, data, and network layers.

Front end and integration (~30%)
Integrate the new Python endpoints with the React front end to test end-to-end behavior and confirm that data, formats, and performance match the legacy system.
Develop and update React components and front-end logic as needed to work with the migrated endpoints.
Diagnose integration issues across the UI, API, and data layers, and fix them in whichever layer they originate.
